Who We Are
Team Overview
The EdUHK Robotics Team established in 2019, we are a dynamic and diverse group of students from The Education University of Hong Kong, dedicated to exploring the fascinating world of robotics and representing our university in the prestigious Robocon competition.
Despite originating from a university without a formal engineering department, our team has consistently demonstrated innovation, technical prowess, and a passion for learning. We have successfully built competitive robots, earned recognition, and won awards, showcasing our ability to excel in challenging circumstances.
Over the years, we have embraced new technologies, production methods, and multidisciplinary approaches. Our team members come from various departments, including MIT and SES, bringing a rich blend of skills and knowledge to the table. We believe in the power of collaboration and knowledge transfer, with senior students mentoring juniors and every member contributing to our collective growth.
Our journey has been marked by continuous improvement, learning exchanges with other universities. We have been commended for our substantial progress and unwavering determination, receiving accolades such as The Best Team Spirit Award and Best Institute Entity Award. And in Robocon 2025, we reached the quarterfinals for the first time, which marked a historic moment for the team, indicating that we have entered a new stage!!!

Won Most Passionate Cheerleaders Award
ROBOCON 2024
In 2024, the EdUHK Robotics Team, “Architeacher,” made a significant achievement by building their first fully autonomous, AI-powered robot. This innovative robot, leveraging machine learning and computer vision, played a crucial role in helping the team win against The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in the “Harvest Day” Robocon challenge. This victory marked a historic moment for the team, as they showcased advanced robotics capabilities for the first time in five years.
2025
6th year of Joining Robocon
Won Best Institute Entity Award
Reached the quarterfinals for the first time
ROBOCON 2025
In 2025, the EdUHK Robotics Team, “Architeacher,” reached new milestones in innovation and competition. For the first time, the team independently designed, developed, and deployed an Active Caster. The team also expanded its technical capabilities by acquiring its own Bambulab P1S 3D printer and CNC machine, enabling faster prototyping and precision manufacturing. In a groundbreaking defensive strategy, a first-year member proposed the use of an inflatable air mattress to block opponents’ basketball shots—a creative design that gained widespread attention across Hong Kong. This inventive approach proved highly effective, helping the team force a foul from City University of Hong Kong and score three points, ultimately securing a place in the quarterfinals for the first time in history.
